Bunny Fonts
A while ago, I removed the Google fonts from the theme on my blog.1 Google fonts are another rich source of data for Google, and I don't want to make it too easy for them.
I was looking at self hosting the files, but I don't pay for Bear Blog2, so I would need to host them elsewhere. Cloudflare, Github, Neocities, I considered all of these. But whilst looking up the best place to host, I found Bunny Fonts. You can put the Bunny Fonts urls exactly where the Google fonts ones were, and Bunny Fonts helps you to format your CSS to get it all working. This website is literally Google fonts, but with transparency. Imagine that. A GDPR page, a trust centre, it is wild!
It shouldn't be wild. It should be normal.
Now, how do they keep their devices going? Well bunny.net seems to provide a bunch of other services. I'll be honest, I haven't looked into a bunch, I was just excited to have some fonts on my blog that didn't sit weirdly high on the line... If it turns out bunny.net isn't as super duper as I think, I will go back to default system fonts until I cough up for somewhere to host them. But until then, I will enjoy the convenience of Bunny Fonts.
