It is hot hot hot
Wowee it is hot. And not a nice hot, just a hot hot.
Apparently this weather event is called a heat dome, and the centre of this particular one is over France. The last heatwave in the UK was also caused by a heat dome, but this one feels worse because it is extra humid. Yay.
I won’t complain too much though, as I’m only on the cusp of the yellow warning area. My thoughts for all the people in London and in Europe, where it is even hotter. I am not far from the coast, so maybe that is helping. I would never want to live too far away from the sea. There is nothing better after a stressful day than going for a walk along the beach and listening to the waves.1
The UK is definitely not built for this heat. My girlfriend asked me to look at air conditioning units today, and I am sure they will start to be more commonly installed in this country. I think we need to sort out our leaky windows first.
